Unleashing the Future: Bringing Generative AI to the Data
Webinar Speaker: Fern Halper, TDWI VP Research, Senior Research Director for Advanced Analytics
Date: Wednesday, July 19, 2023
Time: 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET
Generative AI—systems that are designed to create new outputs, such as images, music, text, or other forms of media, based on their training data—has taken the world by storm. Developers are using generative AI to create chat applications with more natural and human-like interactions. Data and analytics professionals are interested in its ability to analyze all kinds of data—from determining sentiment in large numbers of documents to analyzing structured data sources. At the same time, other business professionals are looking at it to improve productivity with assistance in creative design, content creation, and more.
In a recent TDWI survey, for instance, 50% of respondents were either using Generative AI for language (e.g., using large language models or LLMs) or planning to do so in the near-term. Yet most applications currently require the user to bring data, from documents to tables, to the model. For proprietary or sensitive data, this approach can compromise the security and privacy of the data. Join this TDWI webinar to learn about bringing the model to the data in your cloud platform. Topics include:
- Generative AI: what it is and what it enables
- Using LLMs for unstructured data
- How LLMs can make advanced search across data easier
- Chat apps and their role in LLM-powered apps
- Democratizing insights with text to code using LLMs
