A common misconception suggests that modernization consists of merely moving existing applications to a new platform. However, modernization is actually more about refactoring or reengineering an existing legacy system to align it with current business demands.
Because modernization involves a more sophisticated approach to reengineering, organizations that choose to do so face many challenges that may impede their abilities to effectively modernize their data warehouse environments, whether they are on premises or in the cloud.
