Presentation: “MDA + R/Python: Scaling up Data Science Teams” by Alex Bowers and Luke Stanke of Slalom Consulting

Abstract
Less than a decade ago R was a tool that a handful of analytics professionals could use. Today the tool is now built to help increase team productivity and security, improve centralized data management, democratize metrics, and support professional data science teams at scale. This presentation provides insight on how analytic tools can be scaled up to modern data architectures.

Presentation: "Accelerating the time to insight” by Evan Stanelle of Digifi

Abstract
“Insights now!”  It’s the promise of our time, but is it realistic?  This presentation will outline an analytics maturity model, describe the typical data mining workflow, and demonstrate how cloud computing, paired with R, is indeed accelerating the time to insight while significantly reducing the total cost of ownership for advanced analytics.
