Abstract
There are probably about as many models for decision making as there are people on the planet. Some decision processes are formalized and taught in business schools; some are made up to fit the situation. Insightful people as far back as Plato have pondered: when it comes to making a decision, how do we decide?
This presentation will cover where “intuition” comes from, and how your knowledge of it (and your knowledge of the audience’s backgrounds) can help you to be more persuasive with your numbers, thus enabling you to deliver more value after analyses are complete. |

Bio of Presenter
Jed Summerton - Vice President of Enterprise Data & Analytics, DaVita Healthcare Partners
Jed Summerton is a long-time practitioner of data warehousing and business intelligence. He has guided consulting clients in the implementation of 36 data warehouses and BI environments, and has served in leadership positions in telecom, financial services, and health care. He is now Vice President of Enterprise Data & Analytics for DaVita Healthcare Partners, and teaches analytics for the MS-BA program in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
