Bios of Presenters

Ana Maria Echeverri
AI Skills Learning and Certifications Lead @ IBM
Ana Maria Echeverri works at IBM focused on Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence Skills Growth and Strategy.  Her career spans multiple leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, Partner Ecosystems, and Analytics in the Technology industry (Informix, Microsoft, Citrix and IBM); and also leadership roles in startups as Founder and as leader in Digital Marketing and Analytics. A lifelong learner, avid reader, and an entrepreneur at heart, her passion is to build from scratch (businesses, strategies, teams, programs) while leveraging data science and AI capabilities and digital competencies. She holds a Computer Engineering degree, an MBA, a Master of Science in Analytics, and she is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management at Harvard Extension School.

Practicum Manager, Institute for Advanced Analytics, North Carolina State University
Practicum Manager, Institute for Advanced Analytics, North Carolina State University Retired US Air Force Engineering Officer with 20+yrs experience in leadership and command positions in very challenging, constrained environments. Former Engineering Management Professor.

Jim Mulholland
Chief Operating Officer and Life Science Partner @ MSRCosmos LLC
Jim brings decades of experience working in corporate roles delivering analytic solutions that drive business success.  He is currently Chief Operating Officer and Life Sciences Partner at MSRCosmos LLC, an IT solutions company.  Jim previously served as Vice President of Digital and Business Technology Innovation at Syneos Health, the leading organization providing Lab to Life™ contract research (CRO) and commercialization (CCO) services, where he was focused on driving better clinical trial outcomes through advanced analytic capabilities.  Jim was Vice President at Creativity Inc. and Executive Director at Verispan LLC where he led the development of the innovative VectorOne™ patient-centric analytical platform.  Jim has held various analytics roles at big pharma concerns such as Merck, Schering Plough, and Warner Lambert.

Jim has recently been named a top digital innovator in Databird Research Journal Digital Transformation 2018 guide and was interviewed for the PharmaVOICE article of Artificial Intelligence: Molecule to Market (January 2019).  Jim has also been an educator in various capacities, having earned his California Teaching Credential in High Mathematics from the University of Laverne (CA).  He previously taught within the CA public high school system and was recently an adjunct instructor in the Business Analytics department at Wake Technical Community College (NC).
