Abstract:
With the advent of the latest disruptive technologies – big data, cloud and mobility – organisations can no longer cling to traditional business models and processes. IT departments now face the daunting challenge of keeping pace with the demands of business while negotiating through a web of core IT systems that were often built years before and have been modified many times since.
This presentation will discuss the customisation of IT and the cultural transformation required to create ‘innovative’ disruption. Bryan will also share some success stories - organisations that have taken this journey for tangible competitive gain.

CTO - Rocket Software, US
Bryan Smith manages all aspects of Rocket Software’s R&D organisation and has over 25 years’ experience in software development. Prior to joining Rocket, Bryan was an IBM Distinguished Engineer in the Information Management division of IBM Software Group. Bryan is a dynamic speaker and passionate about sharing ideas around combining business and IT.
