Chris Temple - Solution Principal, Slalom
Cloud technologies have been rapidly growing in popularity in order to solve modern data challenges. Challenges like streaming data, micro-batch or near real-time, large data quantities, unstructured data, and machine learning. There are common struggles, including technical issues like latency, skillset gaps among the teams implementing, and costs getting out of hand without proper management. This discussion will identify some of the top real-world challenges and solutions on taking data to the cloud. |

Bios of Presenters
Chris Temple - Solution Principal, Slalom
Chris is a Solution Principal for Slalom, leading cloud architecture for Data Management and Analytics for the St Louis market. He's driven data and analytics enablement across the DoD and Fortune 500 companies, having built data solutions including geospatial and advanced analytical models across a variety of on-prem and cloud technologies. Chris has lead teams of data architects and data scientists and educates business leaders and executives on how to integrate analytics into their culture and business processes.
Kevin McGinley – Field CTO, Snowflake Computing
Kevin is currently a Field CTO at Snowflake Computing, focused on advising customers on the best way to integrate Snowflake into their Analytics architecture. He has designed and developed Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence systems for Fortune 500 companies since the mid-1990's. Kevin also speaks at popular conferences, hosted a data-centric podcast, authored a vlog, wrote many blog posts, and was recognized in the Oracle space with the ACE Director distinction.
