What Do Modern Analysts Want?
Webinar Speaker: Fern Halper, TDWI VP Research, Senior Research Director for Advanced Analytics
Date: Tuesday, September 29, 2020
Time: 9:00 a.m. PT, 12:00 p.m. ET
Organizations are looking to modernize their analytics in order to compete in today’s rapidly changing world. Modern analytics requires new tools that help organizations democratize analytics and become more proactive with how they use insights. Self-service tools (that empower business users to interact with data in a natural way), machine learning, and predictive analytics are all technologies paving the way for modern analytics.
However, as part of the move to modern analytics, a new breed of analyst must also emerge: the modern analyst. This analyst understands the business and is empowered to proactively solve business problems using analytics, utilize new tooling to drive strategic insights for the company, and increase data fluency for their business counterparts. These are not business users who may use tools to generate insights—data, after all, is now part of everyone’s job. Instead, these modern analysts are the next generation of business analysts, acting as powerful insights optimizers and analytics coaches to bring data-driven transformation to the entire organization.
Join this TDWI webinar to learn more about this emerging role and its importance to your organization. Utilizing results from a recent TDWI survey, Fern Halper, TDWI’s VP of Research, and experts from ThoughtSpot and Chick-Fil-A will discuss this valuable role.
Attendees will learn about:
- The role of the modern analyst
- Career paths the modern analyst might take
- Requirements for the modern analyst role
- Challenges the modern analyst might face and how to overcome them
