Many organizations are expanding their data and analytics strategies as they pursue deeper insights and take meaningful action on data. This often involves trying to roll out self-service capabilities across the data and analytics life cycle. However, TDWI research has found that self-service is not widely utilized across most organizations. That means IT or other teams are still responsible for supporting much of the data and analytics efforts. Organizations struggle with data complexity, scalability, metadata management, and agility, among other challenges.
