To deal with high volumes of complex data from diverse sources, many organizations are moving to cloud platforms.
In order to support data in a cloud environment, data integration is essential. It can include discovering and extracting data from various sources; enriching, cleaning, normalizing, and combining data; and loading and organizing data in databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
However, TDWI research indicates that data integration is a top challenge for organizations moving to the cloud.
