    | Topic: | Topic: Strategies for the Extended Information Enterprise More organizations are reconsidering their current on-premises data architecture strategies for reporting, business intelligence, and analytics. Expanding data volumes, a broader array of external partner data sources, the emergence of Internet of Things (IoT), and the desire to ingest, process, and analyze a multitude of continuous data streams all indicate that conventional data warehouse implementations are insufficient to meet the organization’s future needs. Now is the time to explore how to transition away from the monolithic EDW and towards those hybrid solutions supporting an “extended information enterprise.” In this talk, we discuss an “Agile-motivated” approach that takes concrete steps to understand new technologies, gain practical experience, demonstrate capabilities, and learn the valuable lessons that can motivate the creation of a strategic plan and data architecture for the extended information enterprise.
