  Our next meeting will be a real treat.  Please join us at REI’s impressive Flagship Seattle store to hear the story of how REI continuously strives to stay at the pinnacle of outdoor experiences.  REI leaders will present an expansive view of the challenges they face to deliver on their mission statement, and how data fuels the innovative solutions that have earned them over 18 million lifetime members.

  Speaker Biographies
  Rebecca Straka, VP Enterprise Technologies & Shared Services, REI
  Rebecca leads REI’s technology organization with responsibility for many mission-critical systems: Cloud & Compute Platform, Enterprise Business Applications, Workplace Services, and many more.  Prior to REI, Rebecca held leadership positions at Zones and Weyerhauser.
Sathya Venkatapathy, Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics, REI
  Sathya leads a team that builds and supports an Integrated Data Warehouse, Customer Platforms including CIAM/Membership Applications, Marketing Technology and Personalization.  Prior to REI, Sathya was a BI & Applications leader at Beam Global Spirits & Wine and product/project management roles with Aon and United Airlines.
Jake Pratt, Data Scientist, REI
  Jake has held a number of data-intensive positions over nearly a decade at REI, including analyst roles in Finance, Planning, and Business Intelligence before his current position.  Prior to REI, Jake was an analyst at Amazon and Amgen.  Appropriate to his tenure at REI, Jake is an avid 
  outdoorsman.
Tim Latona, Lead Software Engineer, REI
  Over nearly 5 years at REI, Tim has built products and systems that delivered information and insights to REI leadership in critical functions such as sales, retail planning, and industry intelligence.  Prior to REI, Tim held a number of analyst positions at Whole Foods.
