Peter Perera, THE ENTERPRISE GRAPH: Going From Data To Connections Warehouse

Business and customer insights/ knowledge are gained from understanding dynamic, contextualized connections - not just from processing static data.

Problem: Connections, especially distant, contextualized ones, are not the bailiwick of enterprise business systems and data warehouses. For that we need something akin to a connections hub fueled by a graph database.

Much of the technology revolution is really about moving past a single-context data processing mindset and venturing into the realm of connections processing in multiple contexts.

Now that's something enterprise systems and data warehouses don't handle very well. The Enterprise Connections Hub we envision in this session moves us from a fixed data warehouse to a malleable enterprise "connectome."

More instructively, this presentation goes beyond conventional hierarchical entity and data relationships. It looks at newfangled graph database technologies to find, visualize, traverse, and analyze complex, contextualized "heterarchical" and "holarchical" connections that challenge the most formidable relational enterprise systems today.

Peter shakes up conventional thinking while providing a solid primer and practical insights on how to approach an enterprise graph and use the language of nodes and edges to expose hidden, blind and unknown customer connections and data relationships.

Come listen to North America’s top Graph Database mind share what he’s learned while breaking the graph.

About The Perera Group:
The Perera Group helps organizations create, explore, visualize, analyze, and curate dynamic, revenue-generating "Big Connections" for deeply-informed customer engagement and insight. We use graph database and visualization technology to help organizations overcome the limitations of rigid relational data structures and hierarchical entity designs imposed by enterprise systems such as CRM, MDM and EDWs. We've developed unique frameworks, thought processes, and a methodology to add semantic, epistemic, and ontological enrichment to enterprise data. This uniquely enables our clients to create Enterprise Graphs that exploit contextual identity to determine connections and data relationships. Our work takes clients beyond the edges of a 360-degree customer view, exposing hidden, blind, and unknown, i.e. "dark" connections and data relationships and opening new paths to deeper and wider customer insight.
