The Next Big Thing in BI: How In-Document Analytics Changes the Game
Companies issue and distribute billions of PDF documents to employees, partners, and customers to provide them with vital information. Yet the recipients of these documents remain powerless to analyze this information locked in static PDFs.

This presentation will highlight a unique and innovate approach to self-service analytics.  In-Document Analytics, a patented technology from Information Builders, delivers portable business intelligence to employees, partners and customers. With 4,000,000+ unique users, one of the largest retail banks in the US leverages this technology to deliver interactive e-statements to its clients. This is the largest deployment of BI in the world. In-Document Analytics enables organizations to instantly package a data set with a combination of analytical views to provide highly intuitive and interactive self-service business intelligence. Users simply open a secure, self-contained HTML file that contains dynamic reports, charts, and dashboards. They can explore and interact with data using analytical functions such as charting, sorting, filtering, calculations, pivoting and roll-ups. Because this feature is completely portable and independent from servers, anyone can easily work with and analyze complex data without touching Excel or being connected to enterprise systems.

The Value of an Assessment
As organizations strive to continue responding to market changes and opportunities, there is an increasing need for operational and strategic information to better support the business. Before committing to or starting work on a large Business Intelligence (BI) initiative, which is typically a significant investment, organizations are increasingly recognizing the advantages of conducting a program assessment.  This presentation describes use cases from assessments that have been completed by Datasource Consulting.
