Dear <Colorado Chapter> BI/DW and Analytics Professionals,
We cordially invite you to attend our upcoming TDWI <Colorado> Chapter meeting on <December 1, 2016>. Vic Alejandro is a Comedian/Actor based in Denver, Colorado.  He is

an experienced corporate entertainer.

Improv: The Funny Thing About Agile, Rachel Weston Rowell

 

Experience educational fun at our improv-driven interactive learning workshop. We’ll sharpen, tune, and extend your agile leadership skills through improv theater games and activities that you can take back to your teams and organization.
Improvisational theater embodies agile. It is team-based, highly collaborative, involves creative problem solving, and requires excellent communication to be successful. It’s more than a training methodology for actors; improv techniques can help teams move towards consensus and alignment, hear all voices, and build trust and respect. Come and discover new ways to think about leading teams!

Bios of Presenters

Vic Alejandro
Vic is a regular at the Comedy Works in downtown Denver working with the best touring comedians and TV personalities in the country. He headlined the Calgary Comedy Festival; was a finalist in the Las Vegas Comedy Festival and is a winner of the Comedy Works/ Comedy Central Comedy Contest in Denver. His likeable and smart style is guaranteed to keep you on your toes.
Vic has appeared on HBO, "The Ellen Degeneres Show", Fox Sports News, NBC Sports, CBC,

and is published in the book "The Complete Idiots Guide to Jokes".  
As a Corporate Entertainer Vic was the Closing Keynote Speaker at the 2012 Mile Hi PMI Symposium at the Denver Convention Center. He is also the Closing Keynote at the SNEC PMI Conference at the Hartford Convention Center and the Opening Speaker at the Scrum Gathering in Las Vegas in 2013.

Rachel Weston Rowell
Rachel is an engaging leader who champions the development and growth of people and organizations by shining a light on opportunities in ways that motivate and inspire. Her passion lies in helping organizations transform so that they can not only survive but so that they can shine in their market.

She coaches executives and leaders on developing their organizational capabilities so they can learn, respond, and change. She is an expert facilitator and loves creating spaces where people can work together and drive to action. She believes that meetings do not have to suck.

More than 15 years of immersion in different coaching engagements across various industries gives Rachel plenty of experience to pull from in helping companies find the right agile path. Personally and professionally, she loves witnessing people’s individual shifts from agile doubters to agile champions. As a regular performer in an improv comedy group, she has learned how to say “Yes, and” to any situation. Rachel’s positivity makes the challenge of an agile transformation an enjoyable—and empowering—experience.
