The data ecosystem within most companies is based on 25 year-old concepts and ill equipped to address the needs of today’s content users. Our users are no longer satisfied with data created within the four walls of our company; their appetites and business needs have expanded.The numerous 3rd party data sources that exist (business partner data, syndicated content, social media, Open Data) has become a necessity for analytics and business operations. In most companies, each one of these needs is handled as a one-off request. We need a paradigm shift to address the variety and diversity of data needs within our data architecture environment.
In this session, we’ll discuss the challenges within our corporate data ecosystems and the ways that leading organizations have been able to support the enormous growth of data access without continually building one-off solutions. |

Bios of Presenters
Evan Levy is an acknowledged consultant and speaker in the areas of Enterprise Data Strategy, Data Management, and Systems Integration.
Evan has spent his career leading both practitioners and executives in delivering a range of data management and analytic solutions. Evan’s currently a partner at Integral Data, LLC, a boutique consulting firm focused on helping clients in areas of data management and data strategy.
Evan has been published in a wide array of industry magazines and is a featured speaker and instructor at industry events (Data Architecture Summit, Enterprise Data World, Gartner, MDM Summit, and Strata). He is a faculty member of TDWI and is a Best Practices judge in areas of Analytics and Data Management.
