Abstract
Emerging Technologies for Business Intelligence, Analytics and Data Warehousing.

The Australian TDWI board will present insights to guide data and analytics professionals in understanding best practices and options for Emerging Technologies and Methods (ETMs).
The insights to be presented come from our recent Australian TDWI survey: Emerging Technologies for Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Data Warehousing.
Haven’t yet responded to the survey?
Join the discussion - take the 5 minute survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/tdwiAustSept2016
This survey focuses on ETMs that currently enable real-world use cases in BI, analytics, and DW. Some of the ETMs highlighted include visualisation, clouds, the Internet of Things, Hadoop, NoSQL, mobile BI, advanced analytics, and multi-structured data.
This survey aligns with the recently published TDWI Best Practices Report: Emerging Technologies for Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Data Warehousing, based predominantly on responses from US and European organisations.
The Australian TDWI team assumes that the innovations and excitement of ETMs can make BI, DW, and analytics more appealing, insightful, and actionable and therefore wish to bring our Chapter members a local perspective based on Australian responses.
We will discuss the inventory of currently available ETMs as they apply to business intelligence (BI), analytics, and data warehousing (DW).
This presentation is intended to be interactive therefore we’d love to hear from you.  Meet and discuss your views with the Australian Chapter President and Board Members. Your insights and questions will be most welcome.
