Presentation:  “Privacy: Will it be gone forever? What every Company Director, Executive, Business Owner and Consumer Needs to Know”. Presented by Shara Evans, the Founder and CEO of Market Clarity.
Abstract
In this talk, leading telecoms futurist Shara Evans spills the beans on some very disturbing technical trends that will impact every business and consumer.

  • Do you know where your data is stored? Who has access to your information?
  • Data sovereignty — why it impacts your corporate governance responsibilities.
  • Social media — putting together the pieces of the data collection puzzle.
  • NSA and government surveillance — don’t be fooled into thinking that collecting metadata is harmless.
  • Spying drones — already being used by hackers and others who want to invade your privacy.
  • Wearable, ingestible and implantable healthcare devices — potentially huge benefits, but what are the risks?
  • Naughty mobile apps that access your data and GPS coordinates without your permission.
  • Even the trashcans may be watching you!

By showing how and where your sensitive business and personal information may be compromised, Shara will raise your risk awareness and provide you with insights that will help you navigate the brave new world of ubiquitous connectivity.
