New TDWI Navigator Report Charts a Path through the Dynamic Predictive Analytics Landscape

TDWI Navigator Reports help teams create successful projects with independent and in-depth analysis of the data and analytics vendor landscape based on proven research methodologies.

(Seattle, WA July 26, 2017) TDWI (www.tdwi.org) today announced the publication of the TDWI Navigator Report on Predictive Analytics. This report is the first installment in the new TDWI Navigator series and is the first TDWI research offering that focuses on the vendor technology offerings along with broader technology and industry trends and observations.

“Successful predictive analytics projects require three things: a well-trained team, a strategy for ingesting, storing and processing data at scale, and the right set of tools and technologies to make it all work” said Meighan Berberich, president of TDWI. “TDWI has always focused on skill development and insights about the state of the art in data. Now with the TDWI Navigator Report, we have a full offering for our customers to support their success in planning and delivering predictive analytics capabilities to deliver business value and a competitive advantage.”

Authored by TDWI Vice President and Senior Director of Research for advanced analytics Fern Halper, the TDWI Navigator Report on Predictive Analytics builds upon TDWI’s rich and respected history of research in data management, BI, and advanced analytics to help organizations plot their routes through a particular market. The reports use primary and secondary research to educate end users about a particular subject area and provide key metrics that assess the state of that market. The reports also include overviews of vendors providing solutions so readers know where to look as they begin adding to their analytics or data management arsenal. This particular report provides readers with a greater understanding of what is going on in predictive analytics.

“Vendor neutrality is a key part of TDWI’s role in the industry” said Halper. “Navigator reports don’t rank vendors relative to one another. Rather, they provide readers with an independent guide to qualified solution and technology providers to help them make their own informed choices. The vendors in this report are a mix of both established and up-and-coming companies, all with something unique to offer.”

Topics covered in the TDWI Navigator Report on Predictive Analytics include new trends in predictive analytics, such as machine learning and automation, as well as the level of adoption and market maturity. The Navigator also contains a market/vendor overview. The Navigator Reports provide analysis and insights organized around market forces and status, market opportunities and challenges, and the overall market landscape. Finally, each qualifying vendor is profiled and segmented, giving readers insight into their strategies and technology capabilities.
