Featured Track and Speakers Announced

WHO:
TDWI, the premier provider of in-depth, high-quality education and research in the business intelligence (BI), data warehousing (DW), and analytics industry, has announced the featured track for its next 2014 TDWI World Conference: “Managing Agile BI for the Enterprise.”

WHAT:
The San Diego World Conference will offer 48 in-depth, vendor-neutral BI and DW courses—including 12 courses specifically related to being adaptable and agile as you grow your data warehouse and business intelligence environments. The conference’s agile track examines the diverse components of agile, from project management to self-service BI. 

Conference courses will be presented by leading BI and DW experts and practitioners. Attendees will learn how to build a business intelligence foundation, understand new data modeling techniques to help you adapt to constantly changing environments, hear about data governance innovations, and learn how enterprises can drive real business value with big data. 

Attendees will also be presented with a variety of professional development and networking opportunities, including certification.

SPEAKERS:
Monday keynote speaker Kyle Forbes (senior manager, data platform, Paypal) will describe his experiences building agile data organizations from scratch and transforming existing organizations, the lessons learned, and simple, tested rules to follow for companies craving more value from their data.

In her Thursday keynote, Laura E. Everson (business analyst in the department of planning services at Mayo Clinic), will explain how development teams at Mayo Clinic matured and increased productivity 40 to 60 percent since incorporating about a dozen agile best practices.

CO-LOCATED EXECUTIVE FORUM:
The TDWI Executive Forum, a special program for business and IT executives and managers, will be held jointly with the TDWI World Conference. The Forum, which will take place September 22–23, is dedicated to providing attendees with experience-driven insights to help them deliver BI and analytics value sooner. Its sessions will focus on master data management (MDM), data quality (DQ), and data governance (DG), three of the most widely adopted data management disciplines. The Forum will explore why all three are critical success factors for important business activities and why the three will become increasingly mission-critical as more organizations compete via consistent, clean, and compliant data. The event will feature workshops, case studies from iJET International , Community Care of North Carolina, NCR, and Cisco Systems (among others), as well as peer networking opportunities.

EXHIBIT HALL:
The Exhibit Hall will showcase leading providers of hardware, software, and services for business intelligence, data warehousing, and related technologies.
