Oco, Inc. has upgraded its enterprise-class Software-as-a-Service business intelligence (SaaS BI) solution. Better economics, lower risk, and simpler deployment provided by SaaS BI are fostering wider rollouts of Oco by medium- and large-size enterprise customers. Oco 4.0 enhancements underscore this momentum by enabling customers to easily meet the most advanced enterprise SaaS BI requirements, such as turnkey integration of data from SAP applications and multi-national deployments.
Oco 4.0 features several enterprise SaaS BI innovations:
Enhanced Global Deployment: Many Oco customers deploy the solution to users in different geographies. Oco 4.0 features new performance and usability enhancements that support global use of the system with no interruptions for tasks such as system administration and data loading. This version can automatically alert users in real-time if a report they are viewing has been outdated by a new data upload. Oco also supports multi-byte, multi-national character sets for reporting on internationalized data from any geography.
Enterprise SaaS BI "Mash-Up" Support: Single sign-on enhancements enable customers to integrate Oco with other enterprise Web applications. Content from external systems (such as maps, calendars, and images) can be integrated into Oco dashboards to create engaging new BI solutions.
Turnkey SAP Data Integration: Oco 4.0 introduces the Oco Data Exporter for SAP, tackling the challenges of integrating SAP data into a SaaS BI solution. Oco Data Exporter for SAP can explore and extract the trusted original data from SAP ERP and SAP CRM instances -- even those that have been highly customized -- and transport it into the Oco cloud-based analytical data store for on-demand BI reporting and analysis. The Oco Data Exporter for SAP is compliant with SAP customers’ network and application security policies: It is read-only and pushes data outbound to Oco, protecting it with strong encryption. No inbound network paths are required.
SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand Integration: Oco 4.0 now integrates with the recently launched SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand to provide ad hoc analytics and reporting needs to customers. Customers will benefit from the ease-of-use improvements made by SAP, as well as from Oco 4.0’s support of new SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand components, such as the folder security paradigm and BusinessObjects Explorer.
