    Fern Halper, Ph.D., is vice president and senior director of TDWI Research for advanced analytics. She is well known in the analytics community, having been published hundreds of times on data mining and information technology over the past 20 years. Halper is also co-author of several Dummies books on cloud computing and big data. She focuses on advanced analytics, including predictive analytics, machine learning, AI, cognitive computing, and big data analytics approaches. She has been a partner at industry analyst firm Hurwitz & Associates and a lead data analyst for Bell Labs. Her Ph.D. is from Texas A&M University.     James Kobielus

    Independent Analyst

    James Kobielus is a veteran industry analyst, consultant, author, speaker, and blogger in analytics and data management. Previously, he was the senior director of research for data management at TDWI, where he focused on data management, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing. Before that, Kobielus held positions at Futurum Research, SiliconANGLEWikibon, Forrester Research, Current Analysis, and the Burton Group. He has also served as senior program director, product marketing for big data analytics for IBM, where he was both a subject matter expert and a strategist on thought leadership and content marketing programs targeted at the business intelligence, advanced analytics, data management, artificial intelligence, and data science communities.     David Stodder

    David Stodder has been a thought leader in the field of BI and analytics for over two decades. Previously, he was the senior director of TDWI Research for business intelligence. In this role he focused on providing research-based insights and best practices for organizations implementing BI, analytics, data discovery, data visualization, performance management, and related technologies and methods. He also headed up his own independent firm and served as vice president and research director with Ventana Research. He was the founding chief editor of Intelligent Enterprise where he also served as editorial director for nine years.

    Donald Farmer is an internationally respected speaker and writer with over 30 years of experience in data management and analytics. He advises investors, software vendors, and enterprises on data and analytics strategy. Donald led teams at Microsoft and Qlik, building some of the most important and innovative analytics platforms on the market. His consultancy, TreeHive Strategy, has developed a process known as the Gameplan, which enables enterprises to map out an effective, step-by-step strategy for developing a culture of analytics and data literacy. Customers have included significant players in manufacturing and financial services. In addition to data strategy, Donald frequently consults on governance and compliance issues, particularly for companies implementing self-service architectures. His workshops on innovation strategy have helped to drive significant changes in numerous businesses.

    Evan Levy, CBIP, is a management consultant in enterprise data strategy, data management, analytics, and systems integration. (www.knowledge-integrity.com), and is a recognized thought leader and expert consultant in the areas of analytics, big data, data governance, data quality, master data management, and business intelligence. Along with consulting on numerous data management projects over the past 20 years, David is also a prolific author regarding business intelligence best practices; he has written numerous books and papers on data management. David is a frequent invited speaker at conferences, online seminars, and sponsored websites and channels. David is also the program director of the Master of Information Management program at University of Maryland’s College of Information Studies.

    Deanne Larson, Ph.D., is an active data science practitioner and academic. Her research has focused on enterprise data strategy, agile analytics, and data science best practices. She holds Project Management Professional (PMP), Project Management Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), and Six Sigma certifications. Deanne attended AT&T Executive Training at the Harvard Business School focusing on IT leadership, Stanford University focusing on data science, and New York University focusing on business analytics. She has presented at multiple conferences including TDWI, TDWI Europe, PMI, and other academic conferences. She is a faculty member at Purdue Global, has consulted for several Fortune 500 companies, and has authored multiple research articles on data science methodology and best practices.
