Democratizing Analytics for Customer Insights – The Role of Data Warehouse-Native Platforms

Webinar Speaker: Fern Halper, TDWI VP Research, Senior Research Director for Advanced Analytics

Date: Wednesday, July 17, 2024

Time: 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET

In TDWI research, we see that the top priority for analytics is self-service analytics. Self-service analytics tools allow users at all levels to explore data and derive insights without relying heavily on IT or data specialists. This is especially important for deriving customer insights from digital products. By using self-service, different LOBs can track engagement metrics to help identify user behavior patterns, pinpoint areas for improvement, and tailor their strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

Yet, self-service remains elusive for some companies. Data analysts are still developing reports and dashboards for business groups, even though they would rather be doing more strategic work and building their own skills in data science. The challenges to democratization are related to both technology and organization. They include implementing trusted data, providing easy-to-use platforms, building the organizational culture needed for democratization, and improving data literacy. Join this TDWI webinar to learn best practices for democratizing analytics in your organization and see how Miro, a fast-growing global software company, deployed a self-service product analytics platform to optimize its customer experience.

Topics include:

  • The current state of self-service analytics
  • Technological considerations for democratization, including the importance of data warehouse-native platforms to provide trusted information
  • Case study: How Miro leveraged a warehouse-native platform to democratize product analytics and reduce the burden of BI
  • Organizational considerations for democratization
