Presentation: Viewing Analytics Through a Capability Lens, by Mark Peco

This presentation provides a framework that classifies analytics according to the type of business capabilities that are enabled.  The framework will help a diverse audience understand how new emerging data-driven opportunities can contribute to business value creation. Capabilities are defined, described and classified in a manner that can help organizations identify new opportunities for analytics—leading to incremental business impact and competitive advantage in the marketplace.

You Will Learn

  • How capabilities can be defined, assessed, and classified
  • How analytics can be described using a capability driven approach
  • How to identify new opportunities for additional analytics solutions.
  • How to identify business areas that are underserved by analytics

  • Data challenges in sourcing and cleansing
  • Granularity for analytical success
  • The anatomy of a Good and Bad prediction

While we don’t guarantee that attending this session will help you win your fantasy league, some good data and analytical best practices will be discussed through a topic that will excite your passion for Analytics
