             Event Abstract
In recent years, relations between business users and IT have changed dramatically. Beginning with mobile devices, but now extending to apps, infrastructure and even data, users now have simple access to better technology and faster upgrades than IT can provision. Notably, business has embraced self-service business intelligence “with or without IT’s permission,” as analysts have noted.
What can IT do now, in the age of self-service, and big data, to manage this rapidly changing environment? What can business users do, to work more effectively with IT?
In this informative and entertaining session, we will lay out a new model of governance, focused on the needs of organizations deploying Big Data and Self-Service technologies. We’ll explore the purpose of governance and how users can be both compliant and agile in their use of new technologies. |
