Abstract

Ever have that feeling that there's more to your data but not sure what to do?  Want to qualify your data with facts and business vocabulary that's built into your database?  It's time to stop worrying and stop digging into triple stores!  Triple stores combine relational data (including meta information about relationships) with clear definitions of what the data is.  They also allow for data to be combined from across multiple data sets without much overhead.
Alex will talk about what triple stores are and how to virtually map your relational database into a triple store.

4:50 pm

Presentation: "Automating Your Data Warehouse” by Chris Stewart, WhereScape

Some would say that the data warehouse is dead: too costly, takes too long to build and deliver, hard and expensive to change.  If the data warehouse pain was reduced, would you not see it as a valuable asset to corporate operations and decision making?
In this presentation learn about a BI product segment known as Data Warehouse Automation.  Chris shows how data warehouse automation can handle repetitive and mundane development tasks to allow you more time to focus on meeting business requirements and deadlines.  He will discuss how automation embraces and facilitates agile development as well as highlight its deployment and documentation capabilities.  Chris will close the session demonstrating an automation tool in action.
