TDWI research indicates that organizations are moving not only their data management to the cloud, but often their analytics and applications as well.
Organizations have been making use of hybrid cloud deployment models; now there is a trend towards multicloud environments, where organizations use multiple cloud providers to supply infrastructure, applications, and key business functions to the organization. This is, in many ways, a multicloud services model. There are numerous reasons for organizations to do this, including access to different services, avoiding vendor lock-in, and meeting compliance regulations, to name a few.
