Best Practices for De-Risking Your Cloud Modernization in Financial Services
TDWI Speaker: David Loshin, President of Knowledge Integrity
Date: Tuesday, April 5, 2022
Time: 12:00 p.m. PT, 3:00 p.m. ET
The acceleration of fundamental changes in the financial services industry is motivating banks and other institutions to evaluate how their legacy technology platforms can be modernized and migrated to the cloud. These institutions must be able to respond to growing competition from online-only fintech disruptors, the need to expand partner networks to support third-party apps and channels, and growing data volumes and velocity. At the same time, these organizations must continue to deliver new products and services while complying with regulations and monitoring and preventing fraud.
However, migrating to the cloud also poses risks, some stemming from the complexities of moving massive data volumes from on-premises systems to the cloud, concentration risks that expose single points of failure, concerns about regulatory compliance, the protection of sensitive information, and ensuring efficient processing in the cloud. This web event begins with an introduction of some of the risks of cloud modernization in the financial services industry, followed by a panel discussion on best practices for reducing, mitigating, or eliminating the different types of risks.
Attendees will hear about:
- Understanding and reducing concentration risk
- Using cloud-native applications to increase efficiency
- Opportunities for modernizing when migrating to the cloud
- The need to support a common omnichannel customer experience
- Regulatory compliance, auditing/monitoring, and data protection
