The economics, simplicity, and numerous services of cloud computing are enticing many organizations to modernize their information management environments through migration to the cloud. However, migration is not simple, and a thoughtful approach to incrementally evolve a hybrid cloud data environment will help mitigate risks versus attempting to completely migrate all systems at once.
This incremental approach means that for some time into the future, organizations will have to juggle supporting a pool of existing legacy (in most cases on-premises) reporting and analytics applications with the design, development, and implementation of newer applications deployed across one or more cloud environments—as well as navigating the on-premises/cloud boundaries. In this webinar, we explore aspects of the hybrid cloud environment and suggest some steps for simplifying the management of a hybrid cloud data warehouse.
Attendees will learn about:
- Using data federation across environments
- Leveraging universal connectivity
- Opacity versus transparency for data access
- Managing multicloud deployments
- Managing data pipelines
