Modern Data Analytics in the Cloud: Achieving an End-to-End Strategy
Webinar Speaker: David Stodder, Senior Director of Research for BI, TDWI
Date: Thursday, March 21, 2019
Time: 10:00 a.m. PT, 1:00 p.m. ET
Businesses today need fast, scalable, and agile data and analytics, and cloud-based solutions are proving critical to satisfying these requirements. They enable organizations to rapidly and easily spin up systems and services for collecting, managing, and analyzing data. More important, cloud-based solutions deliver value from “data gravity”—the surging volumes of new data created in the cloud by social media, the IoT, multichannel customer behavior, and other activity.
However, executing a strategy for modern data analytics in the cloud isn’t easy. How do you integrate data collection, transformation, and management in the cloud for interactive data analytics and visualization? Will cloud-based data systems provide the levels of performance, concurrency, and availability you’ll need to satisfy all your users, from data scientists to line-of-business managers? How do they address data governance, security, and data privacy regulations?
In this webinar, we will discuss putting together a comprehensive strategy for modern data analytics in the cloud. We will discuss key issues in supporting today’s analytics workloads, including cloud data warehousing, data preparation and transformation, and visual data interactivity.
You will learn how to:
- Create an end-to-end strategy that aligns analytics with data management
- Plan for when and how to do data preparation and transformation, including ETL
- Determine whether you need a cloud-based data lake, data warehouse, or both
- Satisfy growing user demand for highly interactive visual analytics and business intelligence
- Meet scalability, concurrency, and performance demands
