Webinar Abstract
Big data is becoming the norm for many organizations. That is a good thing because it can provide a great deal of insight. Big data includes large volumes of disparate data types—structured data as well as “newer” data such as text, images, geospatial, and streaming data. TDWI research indicates that the majority of respondents in our surveys are collecting data in the terabyte range with a small percent capturing petabytes of data. Analyzing newer kinds of data is becoming mainstream.
The cloud is an important platform for big data—both for managing as well as analyzing it. More data is being created in the cloud, and more organizations want to analyze it there. Join Fern Halper, TDWI VP of Research, as she discusses what big data in the cloud can mean to your organization.
