IBM dashDB is a family of cloud-based data warehouse and database solutions for analytics and transaction processing. IBM’s dashDB produces data-based insights using in-memory and columnar processing as well as in-database analytics technologies that include the R statistical language, the RStudio development environment, the Apache Spark analytics operating environment, and Netezza’s in-database analytics and analytics library. Customers can run “what-if” scenarios and ad hoc queries to examine trends, provide analysis, and gain competitive advantage.
