Ask the Expert: Unifying Data in the Cloud

Webinar Speaker: Philip Russom, Senior Research Director for Data Management

Date: Tuesday, September 1, 2020

Time: 9:00 a.m. PT, 12:00 p.m. ET

Organizations are collecting increasing amounts of diverse data, often widely distributed in hybrid architectures across both on-premises and cloud platforms. These organizations often want to unify this data for analytics. One approach we see gaining popularity is to virtualize the data across platforms to achieve a single addressable data space.

In this Ask the Expert session, we will discuss how to unify data in the cloud, including how best to move to a cloud data warehouse, when it makes sense to use a cloud data warehouse, how to unify data using virtualization in this environment, how to optimize query performance in a cloud environment, how it helps data governance, and best practices for analytics support.

Join TDWI’s Senior Research Director Philip Russom as he discusses these issues with TDWI Faculty Member Steve Dine and SAP.
