Go beyond the limits of legacy BI, ETL, and data warehousing

An intelligent enterprise is one in which data-driven innovation and adaptability are core to an organization’s DNA. An intelligent enterprise empowers its people to analyze and visualize diverse data in the detail they need to handle unexpected situations. Leaders can map out data-informed strategies and change them when circumstances warrant. They can use insights to make smart decisions about who to hire, where to locate resources, and how to optimize critical operations.

An intelligent enterprise needs a data architecture that is elastic, scalable, cost-effective, and governable for growing analytics and AI/ML workloads so that the enterprise can sense and respond quickly and intelligently to every circumstance. Unfortunately, many organizations are held back by dependence on a legacy stack of business intelligence tools and ETL/data warehousing platforms. This stack might be acceptable for simple reports and dashboards, but organizations are discovering that it cannot keep pace with driving ambitions to use diverse data and analytics every day to make a difference.

Join this TDWI Virtual Solution Spotlight to learn how your organization can become an intelligent enterprise—how it can move past the limitations of expensive, rigid, and chaotic BI and data warehousing to grasp the true power of data, analytics, and AI/ML.

You will hear from David Stodder, TDWI Senior Director of Research for Business Intelligence, and other expert speakers about a better way to meet today’s dynamic requirements and how to future-proof your architecture for what’s ahead.

    David Stodder

Sr. Director of Research for Business Intelligence at TDWI

Five Steps to Faster Insights, Agile Data Architecture, and Becoming an Intelligent Enterprise

Organizations today have to navigate changes they didn’t anticipate even six months ago. The usual reports and usual data are not enough to allow organizations to sense what’s happening now and develop insights rapidly enough to respond proactively and shape thefuture. Traditional business intelligence, ETL, and data warehousing are holding organizations back; it takes too long to prepare new data for existing systems to support innovative uses of data that befit an intelligent enterprise. Yet, simply adding new cloud-based tools and data platforms for new requirements while older systems grind onward is a recipe for expensive confusion. What can organizations do to establish a better strategy? How can organizations deal with the pain points?

In this session, TDWI’s David Stodder will examine recent research into where organizations are now and where they need to be to gain faster data insights and establish an agile data architecture that can handle expanded self-service business analytics, data visualization, and AI/MLthat drive an intelligent enterprise. This talk will discuss five steps organizations can take to reach goals sooner.
