Claudia Mamros presents - AI
This interactive session will explore how big data will impact the way we live, work and think. We all know that cognitive learning – be it artificial intelligence, deep learning or machine learning - are at the centre of innovation. What will this mean to us as a society and how will it change our norms? This is the beginning of the cultural revolution.

Claudia will give us a glimpse into the future and then open discussions to unveil how data and its use will impact transportation, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, government, politics, entertainment, retail, the arts, criminal justice, security, defence, and communication. These industries will be transformed.

As Andrew Ng puts it, “Data is the new electricity of the 21st century.” This interactive session will explore how data will impact the way we live, work, think, and interact with each other.

Speaker Jennifer Reid presents - What’s eating your strategy?

Your organizational strategy, culture and capabilities need to be aligned if you want to survive, let alone transform, your business in a world where no sector is invulnerable to disruption. Peter Drucker is attributed the quote, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast”, and yet many organizations don’t actually take the time to assess their culture, nor implement plans to intentionally build and sustain their desired culture to support their strategy.

As high-tech increasingly becomes high-touch, clients, constituents, and potential employees want to know the business’s unique value proposition exhibited by its values, expectations and how it will interact with the world. While an organizational culture can take years to build, it can be destroyed overnight if left unattended. Jenn’s presentation will share tactics, insights and challenges of creating a plan to build your culture change plan in a data-driven world.

11:00 – 11:15 a.m.

Presenters:

Claudia Mamros is a project management professional with a master’s certificate in business analysis and has worked in a variety of industry segments.

Claudia has worked in a variety of roles including operations, training, administration, sales management, international business operations, management information systems, business analysis and project management. Her industry experience spans from franchising, to interior design, retail, construction, not-for-profit, manufacturing, professional services, quality management systems, healthcare, banking, and municipal government.

After watching companies of all sizes struggle with many of the same business challenges, she determined finding the right information at the right time is the big one. In 2009, she ventured into consulting to help small to mid-sized organizations get their ducks in a row as a means for reducing errors, improving productivity and profitability, and adopting technology.

Claudia’s primary role is to stay on top of technology trends and share them with clients to help them make informed decisions.

Jenn Reid is an Organizational Development Senior Consultant, employed in the complex and recently disrupted Ontario health care industry. Her work includes implementation of enterprise-wide programs for leadership and staff development, and conducting team interventions to enhance performance.

Jenn’s career experience includes working for large multinational firms in private sector industries from financial services, engineering, and management consulting. Over the past 15 years, she has applied her project management skills in the public health care sector, to lead numerous projects in the areas of organizational development, medical education, performance consulting and strategy management. Significant projects included serving as a reporting and analysis lead, co-creating an organizational learning strategy, implementing enterprise systems for learning management, risk management and HRIS, and leading stakeholder engagement for the development for a large community hospital’s 10-year strategic plan.

In the health care sector, Jenn works with leaders who face numerous challenges: large spans of control, highly unionized workforce, limited financial resources, and competition for qualified talent. Jenn’s mission is to enhance capacity by developing systems and structures to boost productivity, build capability by developing skills in design thinking and innovation and mobilize strategy by creating a culture that supports employee engagement.

Jenn’s passion to improve productivity, spot new ideas and implement solutions is exemplified by her tagline, “Get Better, Get Different, Get Going!”
