My data curiosity has driven my intellectual pursuits by obtaining a Masters in Management Analytics from Queens University. Where I have developed a deep understanding of advanced analytics, statistical modeling and machine learning capabilities to drive data driven decision making to bring the art of the possible. |

The field of Artificial Intelligence has experienced a renaissance over the last decade, with the emergence of new applications and technologies that touch various aspects of our lives. It is expected that the number of touchpoints will only increase in coming years will AI becoming more pervasive. In 2017 the United Nations hosted it's inaugural "AI for Good" summit to spotlight applications that will bring about positive societal changes. In response to overwhelmingly positive feedback for this event, the agency leading this conference engaged Eric to investigate and report on the socio-economic impacts of Artificial Intelligence through the lens of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. In this presentation, Eric will share insights into his findings as well as his experience working with the UN. |

Presenter #1 - Lawrence Jordan, Director Data Science & Co-Lead of Wealth Management Analytics, RBC Wealth Management
A highly motivated individual who loves anything about data and the insights that data can bring to any organization by leveraging new and cutting edge big data technology.
My data curiosity has driven my intellectual pursuits by obtaining a Masters in Management Analytics from Queens University. Where I have developed a deep understanding of advanced analytics, statistical modeling and machine learning capabilities to drive data driven decision making to bring the art of the possible.
I currently lead a team of high performing data scientists with in the Wealth Management space where I bring them together with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities and solve complex analytical problems. With my thought leadership in the big data space and my industry experience I have been able to develop, direct and deliver projects in big data analytics using scrum agile principles in such areas as business development, marketing campaign analysis, client segmentation, finance, and investment analysis.
Speaker #2 Bio: Eric Duffy
Eric brings 10 years of IT delivery and business development experience during which he has contributed to the success of numerous strategic projects. As Vice President of Sales of marketing at Logimethods, his engaging personality, business acumen, and deep technical understanding enable him to build lasting relationships based on trust and help solve business challenges through applications of technology. Prior to joining Logimethods, Eric spent 10 years at Adastra in various roles from Business Intelligence Consultant to Director of Sales and Marketing. Eric holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, U. of T.
