According to Gartner, “Digitalization is the use of digital technologies to change a business model and provide new revenue and value-producing opportunities; it is the process of moving to a digital business.” In this session we will discuss our opportunity to leverage technology to improve customer experiences, empower employees, innovate products, and optimize operations by creating digital feedback loops and leveraging data to gain insights that can help drive successful outcomes. Real world examples leveraging digital twins, IIoT, IoT, Augmented Reality, data and AI will be presented.

  • Chad Lich

Chad Lich has over 30 years of experience in information technology and is currently a Principal Cloud Solution Architect for Cross Solution & Industry Innovation at Microsoft and has been with the company for eight years leading global enterprises in their successful digital transformation. Prior to Microsoft, Chad worked with Build-A-Bear and Intelligrated (Honeywell Company) as a director of BI and development, leading teams and building software to enable these businesses with data insights and tools that focused on adding value and business transformation. Chad holds a bachelor’s in information management from Webster University and an MBA from Southeast Missouri State University Harrison College of Business and Computing. Chad is also active as a contributor to STEM events in the St. Louis region, engages as a board member to a Southeast Missouri State University Harrison College of Business and Computing and private local STEM focused company, while also contributing to his local tech community as part of Azure and DOTNET Meetup groups.

Dan Johnson is a Senior Principal, Cloud Strategist and Cloud Competency Lead at Daugherty Business Solutions. Dan has been in the IT space for 30 years.   Over the last few years, Dan has focused on guiding clients through major migrations to public cloud.  Dan has worked across transportation, financial services, banking, telecommunications, and medical industries.
