Abstract
Many companies are struggling to capitalize on the promises of Big Data - collecting mass amounts of information is easy but turning it into useful information is harder than most expect. In this talk we'll cover cross industry Data Science use cases and discuss how multiple companies have seen real impacts from these efforts. We'll also discuss the tools and methods used in each of these scenarios in detail so that these concepts can be applied in your own work.

Charles Yorek, Big Data Strategist, Pivotal

Mr. Yorek is Big Data Strategist at Pivotal, a company that offers a modern approach to technology that organizations need to thrive in a new era of business innovation. He is focused on helping companies use a variety of technologies to turn the concept of Big Data into actionable information that can be used as a competitive advantage.

Rudy Wilson is Vice President
Rudy joined AT&T in 2012 providing strategic vision and creative excellence to numerous campaigns, most notably the “It Can Wait” program, which evolved from a campaign into a movement against texting while driving. Before joining AT&T, he served as Vice President of Marketing at FritoLay North America. During his time with the company, Rudy held multiple positions from leading key brands (Tostitos, Doritos, Fritos, Cheetos and Sun Chips) to leadingConsumer and Shopper Engagement (i.e. national consumer promotions), Sports Marketing, Entertainment and Multicultural Strategy and activation. Throughout his career, Rudy has been honored with multiple awards, including Gold and Silver Lions, Effie Awards, Clio Awards One Show Awards, Favorite Website Awards, D&AD Award, a Sabre PR Award, and a Webby Award. Although he is a selfproclaimed military brat, Rudy considers Sierra Vista, Arizona his home town. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS in Marketing from Arizona State University. Rudy currently resides in Allen, Texas with his wife, Nichole, and their young daughter, Ella.
