With the popularity of cloud vendors and SaaS solutions, vendors are bypassing IT and going straight to the business community. They are also using the tag line "and you don't need IT involvement" as a selling point. There are ways to deliver, deliver quickly and still keep the business as a partner and not an enemy.
This session will cover:
· Agile development
· Customer By In
· Customer interaction
· Learn how to deliver value to customers quickly
· Avoid the pitfalls of spending 2 years and $20 million on a great solution that customers will never use

Presentation: “Bridge the Healthcare Data Divide with Visual Analytics for Superior Patient Outcomes” by Andy Dé, Managing Director, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Tableau Software
|
|
Healthcare is in the throes of transformation today like never before. Healthcare reform and the Affordable Care Act are driving new business models, business processes and systems to enable this transformation.
However, most healthcare providers find themselves challenged to empower their doctors, clinicians, nurses, administrators and knowledge workers on the frontline with the ability to see and understand their data and answer their questions, without significant IT intervention. This impedes them from access to timely and accurate actionable insights needed to get a 360 degree view of their patients, identify and manage risk, and comply with newer regulations efficiently and effectively.
In this presentation, learn how industry leaders in Healthcare like the Cleveland Clinic, Providence Health, Barnes Jewish, Mount Sinai Medical Center, Piedmont Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina are responding to these industry trends. Adopting self-service data discovery and analytics is helping these leaders move away from the ‘report factory’ paradigm. This is enabling them to empower their knowledge workers including physicians, nurses, clinicians and administrators to deliver superior patient outcomes at a lower cost and risk of non-compliance, while measurably impacting their efficiency, productivity and morale.
Key Learning for the Audience:
What are the key business and analytics challenges confronting US healthcare providers in the era of the Affordable Care Act (ACA)?
How are visionary thought leaders addressing these challenges from a ‘meaningful use of data insights’ perspective for Operational Excellence?
Are there BI and Analytics best practices from other industries that Healthcare can learn from and adopt?
What are the high value use cases and scenarios from a BI and Analytics perspective that will have the maximum impact in your organization?
What are some of the solutions that can empower your business users and knowledge workers, clinicians, nurses and physicians for rapid decision making?
