DataRPM Adds Real-Time Collaboration to Instant Analytics Platform

DataRPM has updated its Instant Analytics Platform to include real-time collaboration functionality for data sharing, giving users a “chat like” functionality embedded in reports so discussions around data are timely, relevant, and trackable.

The Collaboration functionality eliminates redundancy, manual tracking, and multiple communication avenues about the same data. It eliminates the time lag for team members to review and respond to e-mail messages and the frustration of the e-mail content being in one place when the data and reports is in another place, being updated before the entire e-mail chain is reviewed. DataRPM Instant Analytics users can start several discussion threads on reports, charts, or a specific data point within a chart.

According to Ruban Phukan, co-founder and chief product officer of DataRPM, “Business managers can share their questions, concerns, or thoughts on their organization’s data and have the appropriate person in the organization respond to them. Teams can collaborate and discuss appropriate actions items based on data. Since all these discussions happen in-place and in context with the data it makes them highly effective compared to offline or email discussion threads.”

DataRPM Collaboration feature makes data reference intuitive and easy. Additionally, users can @mention other users on the project (as in social apps such as Facebook or Twitter). Specific users can be addressed in a discussion thread and alerted via an automatic e-mail.
