Modernizing the data environment has become a top priority for organizations looking to leverage advanced analytics and AI, according to TDWI’s research. As organizations seek to stay competitive and innovate, they are moving to the cloud, scaling their data infrastructure, and fostering cross-functional and cross-company collaboration. However, many organizations still face technical and organizational challenges in support of complex AI and analytics use cases.
One such use case that highlights the importance of modernizing the data environment is supply chain analytics. To optimize operational processes, organizations utilize advanced analytics such as AI to improve decision-making, predict demand, and streamline logistics. Yet, challenges such as data access issues, versioning inconsistencies, and data governance create bottlenecks.
Join Fern Halper, TDWI’s VP of research, and Tim Long, Global Head of Manufacturing, GTM at Snowflake, as they discuss the modern data environment needed to support advanced manufacturing use cases such as supply chain analytics. Topics include:
- The current state of modern data environments
- The features and capabilities needed for a data environment to support AI
- Getting started with foundational improvements to support AI and advanced analytics use cases
