Real-Time Data Integration into the Lakehouse
Webinar Speaker: Fern Halper, TDWI VP Research, Senior Research Director for Advanced Analytics
Date: Tuesday, July 11, 2023
Time: 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET
Generative AI has taken the world by storm. Thousands of companies are making a huge technological shift by utilizing the latest developments in large language models (LLMs) for real-world use cases. Success with LLMs, as well as analytics and machine learning models, depends on timely, high-quality data. The need to sync data between different systems to produce real-time, governed data sets and collaborate on a single system has never been greater.
This has driven many organizations to move to modern platforms such as cloud data lakehouses that unify an organization’s data on one platform and keep it governed and available for analytics and AI. However, real-time data integration can be complex to implement and manage due to technical challenges around the volume, velocity, and diversity of source data, especially from legacy systems and mainframes. Often, organizations don’t have the data set needed for a use case, or it is not up to date on the platform needed. To solve this, organizations are deploying highly automated, no-code pipelines to support real-time data integration into the data lakehouse.
Join TDWI’s VP of Research, Fern Halper, and industry experts for a discussion about what is needed for real-time data integration on the lakehouse. The session will also include a live demo with experts from Databricks and Qlik. Topics include:
- The need for real-time data integration in the data lakehouse
- Building real-time data pipelines—the automation imperative
- Features of automated, no-code data pipelines
- Governing real-time data in the data lakehouse
