Many organizations are turning to cloud computing to modernize their analytics life cycle, yet sometimes they face unexpected roadblocks along the way.
To introduce this panel discussion, David Loshin will provide an overview of the state of healthcare analytics modernization. Marty Tomasi
Senior Director, Cloud Strategy
SAS
Marty Tomasi is responsible for driving software-as-a-service and partner cloud integration strategy for SAS. Tomasi was previously head of product management for SAS’s Cloud and Analytics Platform efforts. He has served as Chief Architect and Director of SAS’s Technology Office, and had led SAS’s Middle Tier Platform and Java efforts prior to that. Tomasi has been instrumental in leading SAS to adopt cloud-native architectures and business models. A 25-plus year veteran of SAS, Tomasi formerly held a range of positions at Deloitte, IBM, and North Carolina State University. He has also served on the Technical Advisory Board of the Cloud Foundry Foundation.

Jesper is an innovative technology lead within the Division for Technology and Diagnostics at Ahus Hospital. Jesper has worked as an intensive care nurse for 20 years. For the last 2 years, Jesper has worked with e-health related issues and the application of new cloud-based solutions. Some of his projects include a digital home follow-up remote application, as well as artificial intelligence projects related to cardiac medicine and clinical decision support.
