TDWI Playbook | Search at Scale: Using Modern Search Engines for Applications, Observability, and Analytics
November 18, 2022
Interactive search engines play an essential role in enabling faster and easier information discovery for nontechnical users and sophisticated investigation by subject matter experts.
It would be hard to imagine a world without search. We encounter search engines in practically all websites, applications, and e-commerce experiences. Yet despite search’s ubiquity, organizations overlook opportunities to make full use of search engines for enriching user experiences, improving monitoring and observability, and maximizing diverse data for analytics use cases.
Modern search engines are cloud services that combine software programs, AI/ML, data storage, and visual user interfaces to support data ingestion, interactive search, visualization, and analysis. This TDWI Playbook will examine the business drivers behind growth in the use of search engines and the need for scalable and integrated capabilities.
