See How Social Networks Connect People
Are you familiar with the phrase six degrees of separation? That’s the theory that any two people can be connected by six or fewer links. In other words, you can reach anyone on the planet through a chain of knowing a person, who knows a person, who knows a person, etc.
Facebook recently examined the connections in their network and determined that each of their users (1.59 billion people) is connected to each other user by an average of only three and a half people.
Read more about the research and see your “degrees of separation” number on the Facebook blog.
