InetSoft Updates Dashboard and Visualization Options for Mobile, Non-Flash Devices
Apps for Android and iOS launched, support for HTML5-only browsers enhanced.

InetSoft Technology has released a new version of its Style Intelligence business intelligence platform. Headlining the dozens of enhancements is the introduction of native apps for Android and iOS devices, plus full support for HTML5 for organizations not allowing Flash browser plug-ins.
The breadth of end-user consumption of interactive dashboards and visualizations is even more comprehensive and optimized to the device platform. Mobile users will experience speed performance improvements and all of the interactivity they are accustomed to when accessing dashboards and reports from their Flash-enabled desktops, with an interface designed for the smaller screen sizes and touch-based controls. For organizations moving away from the Flash browser plug-in, the HTML5 delivery option has also been enhanced for speed and interactivity completeness.
A second area of feature development is in InetSoft's data grid cache technology, a hybrid in-memory and disk-based caching option for maximizing performance for big data and operational business intelligence applications. Turning on this option for multiple dashboards and visual analyses that share data mashups have been streamlined in terms of ease of administration and in infrastructure overhead. Among end-user features, finance departments can now use custom fiscal calendar dates in a function library, and alerts have been expanded to be triggered by more types of on-dashboard metric changes.
