Attivio, Inc. has released enhancements to its Active Intelligence Engine (AIE) to help business users, developers, and administrators do more with data and human-generated content. AIE 4.2’s new user interface and role-based management enhancements are among the new release’s highlights.
Key features of AIE 4.2 include:
- AIE role-based management: AIE’s Business Center gives business users and marketers a way to manage content and profiles. With the addition of role-based management in AIE 4.2, AIE Business Center users can assign roles and controls over various profiles. With role-based permissions, businesses can expand the number of AIE business users and ensure only the right users modify profiles and publish changes that affect end users.
- AIE Designer: The new visual editor allows developers and administrators to simply and easily manage AIE through a familiar Eclipse-based user interface. Common AIE configuration tasks previously only achievable via command line or in XML source code are now available through AIE Designer.
- AIE entity extraction user interface: To provide improved insight into content and data to uncover relationships between disparate data sets, AIE 4.2’s entity extraction is fully managed and extended through a new admin interface. What was once a multi-step task, including editing configuration files, is now handled via this single interface.
