Webinar Abstract
Few organizations design an a priori “enterprise architecture.” Rather, systems environments evolve organically as technology decisions are made to address particular business challenges. In essence, this engineers complexity into the environment and establishes data integration as a necessity for interoperation.
However, with the rapid adoption of big data, master data management, new varieties of data, cloud computing, and advanced analytics, the complexity of data integration has increased by an order of magnitude. Externally-hosted analytics applications need to harmonize transactions managed inside cloud-based applications with master data managed within on-premises MDM environments. As the data integration landscape becomes more complex, more subject matter experts are spending time and energy trying to facilitate data integration instead of analyzing the data to create business value.
In this webinar we examine the issues of complex enterprise data integration, especially as more (and larger) data sets are needed. We then consider how a service-based approach using cloud-based data integration can ease the development and sustainability of data integration without imposing additional constraints on the enterprise.
Attendees will learn about:
- Increasing system and data integration complexity
- Multi-point complex data integration challenges
- Developing a partner-based data integration strategy
