Webinar Abstract
The rate of innovation in the data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics space has been accelerating over the past few years. The commercialization of massive-scale data management and computing platforms, coupled with a lowered barrier to entry, means that more organizations are exploring newer ways to leverage descriptive and predictive models to drive profitable business decisions.
In this Webinar, we discuss the trajectory of data warehousing and analytics innovation to imagine what the next-generation data warehouse will look like. We will explore hybrid execution architectures (such as hybrid transaction and analytic processing) that exploit the memory hierarchy to simplify data integration, speed analysis, and provide more timely results.
We’ll discuss the impact of sensor and machine data flooding the Internet, the emergence of edge analytics, and instituting intelligent fog computing. We share information about differentiating between discovery analytics and embedding analytic models. We will consider how existing programming and execution models (such as those provided by Hadoop) can be adapted to more generalized mesh networks, localization of analytic models, and hybrid cloud organizations.
We will share a case study on emerging data warehousing techniques, followed by a panel discussion.
Attendees will learn about:
- In-memory computing
- Hybrid transaction and analytic Processing
- Edge analytics
- Cognitive computing
- The Intelligent fog computing
- Distributed computing for mesh analytics
- Perhaps some surprises…
