Nicklas Ankarstad is an experienced analytics leader with over 10 years of experience in analytics and data science. He has a deep technical background in analytics, data science, and machine learning, as well as a strong business acumen.
Currently, he serves as senior director of data science at M1, where he oversees data science, data strategy, analytics, and credit risk. Prior to his current role, Nicklas held several senior analytics positions at financial services companies, building and scaling teams across the entire data lifecycle from data ingestion, transformation, and governance to visualization, analytics, machine learning, and AI.
Nicklas also has extensive experience in developing data strategies and roadmaps and driving organizational change, with a special focus on enabling self-service and data literacy. He has a proven track record of building high-performance data science and analytics teams and capabilities.
Nicklas holds a bachelor’s degree in international business and an MBA with an emphasis in finance from Lindenwood University. He is passionate about helping organizations leverage analytics to drive tangible results and help companies make better decisions.
